To ensure that your egg lasts for years, please display it in a locaiton away from direct sunlight, heat, or light bulbs. Dyes are light sensitive and can fade. It is a real egg and should be handled like a fine china or glass ornament. If dusting is required, wipe gently with a soft, damp dusting cloth.

Display locations should be chosen with to prevent falls.
Pysanky and Batik Art Eggs are handmade using real blown eggshells. The beeswax used to write the designs and the eggshells are regionally sourced whenever possible.

Traditional pysanky is a folk art using melted beeswax written with a stylus on real eggshells dipped in dye to create beautiful designs. In ancient times, these eggs were talismans against the dark during rites for spring. Jennifer dcreates modern original Batik Art Eggs that incorporate elements of traditional pysanky with inspiration from the world around her.
